The Visit

We will work anywhere your pet is most comfortable.  We love the floor!

The Fearful Kitty: We prefer to confine our feline friends to a small room.  (The best room is the bathroom.  (less hiding places!)  And if possible, put a box in the bathroom with a towel or a blanket in it so they can hide.)  This prevents cats from becoming frantic and out of control.

The Fearful Dog: We like to use lots of treats, especially peanut butter!  Please let us know if your pet has food allergies or if there is a peanut allergy in the family.    We find that using peanut butter and a basket muzzle makes for a relaxed dog.  They tend to focus on the peanut butter rather than the doctor.  If your pup is still upset we will make the visit nice and easy and come back another day to work on keeping him/her as stress free as possible.

Some Important Notes for a Successful Visit:

Please avoid booking appointments the same time as your lawn or cleaning service.  Even the calmest pet can get distracted and unruly with these visitors.

Please schedule your appointment at a convenient time for you. We schedule appointments for at least an hour since many appointments are more complicated and require extra care than originally expected.  Appointments for more than one pet will last even longer.  Our staff will be happy to discuss the best option for you and your pet.

Please let us know if more than one pet will need to be seen at the appointment.  We want to give all of our patients the individualized care that they need (and deserve!) and cannot do so if our time is limited to just one pet.

We do our best to arrive at the designated time for your appointment.  However, we have limited control over such things as traffic, weather and  construction to name a few.  Please allow 30 to 45 minutes from your scheduled appointment for us to arrive.  We do not like to rush our appointments and want to give your pet the best possible experience!
